Child Abuse Prevention
Eta Chapter takes pride on raising funds that assist the Family Service Agency of Dekalb, IL. as they assist and support families that are or have been victims of Child Abuse. The goal of this agency is to provide Legal, Emotional Support, Provide Referrals for Medical Treatment, Provide Trauma Assessment, Make referrals for counseling and caregiver education through the Counseling Center and offer in-person support during court proceedings to any family in need.

Why do we support what they do?
1 in 4 girls and 1 in 7 boys are sexually abused before their 18th birthday. Since 2002, the Children's Advocacy Center has helped over 1,800 of such children living in DeKalb County.
The Children's Advocacy Center not only coordinates investigations of child sexual and physical abuse allegations, but they also provide holistic and life changing interventions for the children and their families.
They also have the privilege of providing prevention services to students, and child abuse education to adults.
For more information, or to request a presentation, please email Holly Peifer, Director of Children's Advocacy Center or call: 815-758-8616.
